A creative weekend:-)

I woke up yesterday morning feeling very creative. I was almost wishing I was a painter so that I could dwelve into the world of art! I decided that rather than painting really poor paintings, I would channel my creativity into making jewelry. So, both yesterday and today I have spent quite some time making necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Here are some photos to document this weekend's creativity.

Happy Easter!!

Easter 2012 is quickly nearing it's end, and I must admit that I haven't spent as much time of my days off as I thought I would, making jewelry. I don't quite know why, but I guess I have prioritized doing other things as well.
I have read a lot of criminal mysteries, watched a lot of criminal mysteries and been part of a lot of criminal mysteries....well, that last statement is not really true. I have not been part of any mysteries -  I have however, at times been very nostalgic thinking of, and missing "the good old days". Not very smart, as the good old days are just that...good and old....and not very likely to come back, but thinking of them sure do make time fly by quickly.

This afternoon and evening I have put a few hours into jewelrymaking, though. With no set goal in mind, I have made a little of this and a little of that:-)

Oh, and by the way - the hand that I have used in the photoes, is a wooden hand that I have borrowed from my husbands collection of rareties....

Chandelier earrings.

As I am always out to learn new techniques and expand my jewelry-making skills, I decided I would try making chandelier earrings as well as earrings on creoles. I particularly liked the chandelier type earrings as I could incorporate several different bead patterns in one earring. The earrings made on creoles weren't any different than making earring hoops really, except for the fact that they are attached to hooks in the end.

I adore making the braided bead bracelets, so I keep making more and more of them as well.
