New bracelets.

Since I last wrote, I have gone through quite a clearing out process in the room I am making the jewelry in. I felt that I had to, as everything seemed to be really cluttered and unorganized. My husband made a table for me some years back because I needed a work table to fit a tight space in our computer/guest room. The table has really been handy when I have made greeting cards, done scrap-booking and also some sewing. I have had a lot of different stuff placed on this table and as I now was trying to do jewelry making at the same table, I just had to clear it up.
The main item I had to move was my sewing machine that 2was set up on the table - I moved it underneath the table instead. I also organized a lot of other hobby items to make space for all my beads and the necessary equipment on the table. Until now I have had to clear away all the boxes with beads everytime I was done working. It was quite a hassle to stack smaller storing containers into a bigger one to tidy up after a work session. I found it even more of a hassle that I wasn't able to have all the beads set up on the table when I worked. This because they were stacked on top of eachother in a large box, and I more often than not had to lift up several containers to get to the one I needed. As with all the other hobbies that I have done in this room the jewelry making has made me wish that this whole room was set up differently. I will have to talk it over with my better half and maybe we can find an acceptable solution:-)
Anyway, I cleared off the table and have now set up all my bead containers along the edge of the table hugging the wall. I am now able to just reach out and find what I need, without having to root around, stack and store a box everytime I need something! I have also bought a bead design board that makes it a lot easier to keep track of the beads I need at any given time. SO - there has been some progress in my jewelry making world:-)

I have mainly concentrated on making more bracelets since I last posted on the blog. As I have mentioned before, I really got hooked on this one method of "braiding" bracelets, and although it takes quite a bit of time and a substantional amount of beads to make them, it is basically what I have spent time doing. Until last night. Some time ago I purchased a lot of  lampwork glass beads to make European Charm bracelets, but until last night I had only made one bracelet with lampwork glass beads. So, it was certainly time to make some! Here they are:

White, silver and pink lampwork glass beads and silverplated spacer beads with elements of pink.

Turquoise lampwork beads and a dangle made with a mix of turquoise and clear Swarovski beads.

Amber lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of amber and clear Swarovski beads.

Black and white lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of black and clear Swarovski beads.

Blue and white lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of blue and clear Swarovski beads.

Light green and pink lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of light green, light rose and clear Swarovski beads.

Light green, pink and white lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of olive green and clear Swarovski beads.

Black, dark green and pink lampwork beads and dangle made with a mix of emerald green and clear Swarovski beads.

Dangle made with a mix of light and dark purple and clear Swarovski beads and silver plated spacer beads.

I came across these cute pig heads and I just had to get them! Pig heads lampwork beads and  dangle made with a mix of amber and clear Swarovski beads.

This bracelet I have shown once before, then in a set with earrings.  Green Millefiori lampwork beads and a mix of tibetan spacer beads.

Dangle made with a mix of black and clear Swarovski beads attached directly on a chain.

Tibetan Silver Dangle beads and a mix of Tibetan Silver Spacer Charm beads

I thought I would show some more of my braided bracelet as well:-)

6mm light purple Swarovski bicone beads, 4mm violet Swarovski beads and purple embroidery beads.

On Tuesday I am going to have my first "jewelry-party" and in order to do so I have put my husband to work making racks that I can display all the different items on. The racks have really turned out nicely and they are quite convenient when I want to display the jewelry. The one below is just one of several:-)
My bracelet rack!
I am quite nervous about the jewelry-party since I have never done anything like that before. Luckily I think I know all the people that will be there, so I am sure it will be ok! Wish me good luck!

  1. The lampwork bead bracelets are very exotic looking. You certainly have a lot to show at the party--good luck!
